Hyrox Cardiff had a big problem for wheelchair users 😔

I arrived aiming for a PB. When I saw the flooring I realised that might be a problem. when I started the race, it was instantly apparent that this was going to be extra tough!! Usually I really enjoy the running, but the constant vibrations were awful! every push barely got me anywhere. the corners I would usually whizz round, but on this flooring, as soon as you stopped pushing you just stopped! I normally fall into a nice rhythm of strong pushes, with recovery between, but that just doesn't work on uneven, bumpy flooring! It also moved up and down as you rolled along it 🙈
If you're a wheelchair user, I would recommend checking the flooring at this venue next year before booking.
