Drones are changing the global economy.
What are the benefits?

1) Job creation

The drone industry has led to the creation of new jobs and skillsets including:Drone Pilots and Operators - responsible for flying drones manually or pre-programmedDrone Instructors - provide training and education to become proficient in drone operation, including flight skills and safetyMaintenance Technicians - keep drones in good working condition, performing routine inspections, repairs etcSoftware Developers - create software and applications needed to control drones, plan flight paths, develop navigation algorithms etc

2) Efficiency/Cost Savings

Drones improve operational efficiency and reduce costs in various sectors:Reduced Labor Costs - Drones can perform tasks that would otherwise require significant manual labor, such as to inspect structures at a fraction of the costFaster Data Collection - Drones can collect data quickly and efficiently from the air, allowing for rapid assessment and decision-makingImproved Accuracy - Drones can capture highly accurate and detailed data, which helps eliminate costly manual errorsEnhanced Safety - Using drones to perform tasks that would otherwise be dangerous for humans, organizations can reduce the risk for accidents and injuries.

3. Economic Growth in Emerging Markets

Drones are used in developing countries for many applications:Disaster Management - Drones provide services including Search and Rescue and Disaster AssessmentEnvironmental Conservation - Drones can help with Wildlife monitoring and environmental surveyingAgriculture - Drones are used for Precision monitoring, crop spraying and livestock monitoringHealthcare - Medical supply delivery and telemedicine

4. E-commerce and Delivery
Last-mile delivery - Used in the e-commerce sector, revolutionizing the way goods are transported and delivered to customersGlobal Trade and Connectivity - Drones improve connectivity and trade by providing rapid, cost-effective transportation of goods in remote or underdeveloped regions

5. Precision Agriculture

Drones are transforming agriculture by enabling precision farming practices such as:Crop Monitoring - Drones detect variations in crop health and stress levels that aren't visible to the naked eyePrecision Planting and Seeding - Drones can create accurate field maps that guide automated planting and seeding equipment, improving crop uniformity and yieldLand and Soil Analysis - Drones can assess soil properties such as pH and moisture content, informing decisions on soil preparation and nutrient managementYield Prediction - Drones can be used to collect data throughout the growing season, allowing for more accurate yield predictions and strategies

How 3D Building Modelling can revolutionize a business' assets

What is 3D Building Modelling?

3D modelling is the process of creating three-dimensional representations of an object or a surface using cutting edge technology.
During the 3D modelling process, you can determine the buildings size, shape and site perimeters, allowing you to view the asset from all angles. Rather than just having 2D sketches, it allows for a true representation with the added bonus of interactive features, such as close zoom.

How Does it Work?

A drone will fly around the external of the chosen object, taking photos from different angles to capture all surfaces. These photos are stitched together using an online software which creates a 3D artefact, in which you can zoom in and out, swivel to view different sides and view the actual photos that were taken. There are then multiple different output sources to receive your 3D model depending on personal preference, including rendering models on a secure platform (such as your website), point cloud, 3D model export, orthomosaic image and import into CAD/GIS application.

Why Is 3D Building Modelling Needed?
Versatility – Can digitally look around the external of a building that represents exactly how it would look in person. Can zoom into different features to get a close up on different areas and have access to the raw footage
Easier to visualise and present - View the artifact digitally anywhere in the world, without having to be physically at the site. This creates much more flexibility by sending the model to stakeholders with a click of a buttonQuicker – The whole process takes a matter of hours with a drone
More effective than manual inspection – Hire someone to come and manually take photos, sketch a 2D drawing and gather building records, or hire a drone pilot for the afternoon, who will complete the job more efficiently, reaching areas people can't get to safely. All of this whilst safely stood on the ground at all times with no risk to human life. It also produces a more accurate representation of the building and reduces human error.

Who can benefit from 3D Modelling?

Anyone who needs to capture the complete building as is, after a condition assessment on the property, or accurate information for building stock records.

Some examples of sectors that want to implement:Owners of high-rise buildings - the regulation is changing for high-rise buildings in England and they have to submit all building stock records to their local fire departmentProperty buyers who want to do extensive research on their future building as it provides key information of structural elements
