Also this colour is nuts, it totally changes dependant on the level and kind of light! Why didn’t offer Oak Green on newer cars? I’m glad they didn’t or I wouldn’t have painted the car this colour 😂

Went back and had another go at the same spot.

🍃💚 Oak Green Metallic at golden hour.

One of those colours that completely changes with the light. In the shade it’s deep and understated, almost black, but as soon as the sun hits it, the metallic comes alive.

Paired with the gold wheels, I think the contrast works perfectly against the iconic Oak Green paint. A modern Mk7 Golf R finished in a colour that pays tribute to Volkswagen heritage while still looking right at home in 2026.

This build has been a long time in the making, and seeing it come together makes it worthwhile.
