Wolves and wolfdogs

These three hybrid juveniles represent the latest additions to our animal sanctuary.
While their genomes contain Canis familiaris ancestry, their behavioural ecology and phenotypic traits are not consistent with those of fully domesticated canids. As a result, they are not appropriate candidates for traditional household environments. Their welfare and management requirements are best met within a controlled sanctuary setting, where their species-atypical social, environmental, and husbandry needs can be adequately supported.
