Design details within Great Wincey Farm, a traditional Essex barn converted into a modern family home.

The approach is defined by generous glazed openings, allowing the extension to read as a subtle pavilion. An external canopy supports the use of the space throughout the year and reinforces the connection between inside and out.

As the Longview project reaches completion, we reflect back on the proposed elevation drawings which first brought the design intent together.

Longview is a replacement dwelling set within a narrow plot in the Essex countryside. The design approach focuses on creating a contemporary and functional home with light-filled, adaptable spaces that connect effortlessly to the garden.

This early visual demonstrates the architectural language, materiality, and proportions, forming the design narrative through each stage of development.
