It’s funny how the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference.
On Wednesday, I went to collect the last of my things from my old school. It wasn’t quite the ending I’d hoped for, and if I’m honest, I left feeling a little deflated.
Then I received this from someone at my new school today. Someone I’ve worked with before, who took the time to make me feel welcomed before I’ve even officially started.
I don’t think she’ll ever realise just how much this meant today.
Sometimes it’s not the grand gestures that stay with you. It’s the thoughtful words, the kindness, and simply making someone feel that they belong.
I’m incredibly grateful and even more excited to start this new chapter in September.
Here’s to fresh starts, kind people, and finding the place where you’re meant to be. 🐝💛
Today I collected the last of my things from work.
I’ll be honest, it wasn’t quite the ending I’d hoped for. There were moments that left me feeling hurt, but I realised I had a choice about how the rest of my day would look.
So, we headed to the beach.
Watching my girl laugh, feeling the sea breeze and spending uninterrupted time together reminded me of what really matters.
Life won’t always give us the endings we deserve, but it does give us the chance to choose what comes next.
Here’s to closing one chapter, embracing new beginnings, and focusing on the people who fill your cup rather than those who empty it. 🤍🌊

Who says you need a big budget to create a great SEND classroom? 💚
Today I challenged myself to spend just £10 at a local car boot sale, looking for resources that could support children’s learning and development.
Every item I found has so many possibilities, from fine motor skills and sensory exploration to communication, problem solving and independent play.
It’s a reminder that some of the best classroom resources aren’t found in education catalogues. They’re often hiding at car boot sales and charity shops, just waiting for a new purpose!
