27 years ago today.
It’s a very strange moment when you look at your eldest child and realise that you were both barely older than her when you got married!

Whaaaaat!!?? Who let us? How was it even allowed? 😂😂
Because really we knew how to do precisely nothing and had almost no gumption between the pair of us.

But sure we didn’t know what we didn’t know, and anyway we thought we knew it all and that’s half the battle. And along the way we learned a few things and grew up together.

We had adventures in America 🇺🇸 and then more back home 🇮🇪 and along the way had a quare few house moves and children.

And there was honestly no BIG PLAN about anything and I used to look at people who had it all worked out with awe, but also a little sympathy because where’s the fun in that?

So it amazes me sometimes that an award winning 🏆 overthinker like myself just went with the flow, and in retrospect it DOES seem a bit silly and naive but somehow it mostly worked out.
I think that nothing really scared us because we were in it together and anyway, we could be sensible when we were old. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

So the baby love that started as teenagers just grew deeper and wider until over time it even produced and enveloped 5 whole extra people.

Which among other things, means I’ll always hide the good biscuits, look for the yellow stickers when doing the groceries, and splurge on prosecco, not champagne 🍾😂. And that suits me just fine.

So happy 27th wedding anniversary to Himself- my person, my love, my heart ❤️.

I feel so very lucky to have had all these years together when so many others don’t get the chance.
And yet, I still want more…more adventures, more travel, more time, more craic, more love, more you.
So here’s to us, all that’s been and all that’s yet to come.
I’m so here for it.
