JUNK DRAWER | DAYS OF HEAVEN
"Junk Drawer play like a gang of mind-readers, guessing each other’s intentions, swerving together into acid dreams, sweet interludes and twitchy paranoia. This is a positive feature of their second album which is arranged as two distinct parts. The first half showcases the tunes and the grace. The second half is about stretching out and improvising. Somewhere within, they search for the weird essence of their own, rural heartland. Even the chip shop has a story. Altogether, it’s a fascinating quest."
