An excellent career opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team at In-OVO Fertility Clinic to work in our newly built clinic offering comprehensive assisted conception services.
You will join a friendly team covering all aspects of assisted reproduction. Our state-of-the-art purpose-built clinic will open in early 2020 in Belfast and will offer the expertise and cutting-edge technology to ensure patients receive individualised and tailored treatment to maximise their chances of a successful outcome. Being an independent clinic we pride ourselves on providing outstanding care with a personalised service, enabling us to help our patients through their fertility journey.
The ideal candidate would have previous nursing experience, whether this is within the NHS or private sector but not necessarily within the field of Fertility as we appreciate this is a niche sector of healthcare. Full training will be given to the successful candidate. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a new clinic with excellent career prospects.
This post is full time and the successful candidate must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife (RGN/RM) and should:
Reproductive medicine/Gynaecological/Surgical experience is an advantage but not essential
Phlebotomy experience
Experience of monitoring patients after conscious sedation is an advantage
Excellent bedside manner and outstanding patient care
To adhere to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
Being organised and knowing your professional limits
Able to prioritise duties and manage time well
Good communication skills
Ultrasound scanning would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided
As a nurse within our Clinic, you will provide assistance to clinicians and fellow nursing staff.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Preparing and assisting with the smooth running of the clinic ensuring a high standard of nursing care
Scheduling of your patient treatment cycles, liaising with doctors to arrange prescriptions and treatment plans
Perform basic patient assessments, venepuncture and undertake pre-treatment consultations
Teach patients how to self-administer relevant medications
Assist with all types of ultrasound scans
Caring for patients peri-operatively
Assist in theatre procedures, including egg collections, embryo transfers, IUI’s and HyCoSy
Preparation of theatre, stock orders for the ward and theatre and maintenance of resuscitation trolley
In addition, the candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, be team players, able to work independently and have good attention to detail in order to help deliver a high-quality nursing service.
The role will require participation in weekend work and work on a rotational basis. A time off in lieu system will operate.
