Nelson King....

A wealth of influences, from the jangling guitar style and romantic yet tragic grandeur of The Smiths, with the more direct and less flamboyant vocal style of more modern indie groups like Elbow.
Nelson takes all these disparate influences and distills them into a signature sound all of his own.
Nelson manages to keep the flame of real rock ‘n roll alive throughout with gutsy vocals and a rich array of guitar rhythms.
Even though he is just one man, he manages to keep rhythms full-on and forthcoming whilst chiming riffs skitter across the top.
Expect everything from rock and roll grooves to folky vibes, songs with a pop sensibility to pure acoustica.

Elf is a free non profit making music night in Battle and our equipment is outdated and we need new Amps, microphones, mixers, mic stands etc.
We have five venues around Battle high street and ideally we need to raise enough to put a new set in each venue.

Well would you believe it's almost that time again, oh how time flies when you're having fun. We have some great musicians in the line up so get booking your favourite venue or get down early as Elf does get busy busy.

When leaving venues or travelling between them please be respectful, keep the noise down and stay out of the roads. I know this not Elf clientele but I have to say it to everyone.
