39 … and for the first time in my life, I feel genuinely confident wearing a bikini.
But this confidence didn’t come easily.
I’ve lost over 40kg, and yes, losing that weight changed my life. It gave me confidence I hadn’t felt in years. I felt lighter, healthier and proud of how far I had come.
But there was another side of the journey that people don’t always talk about.
Along with the weight, I lost muscle too. My body became smaller, but it didn’t feel strong. I was left with loose skin, very little tone and a body I didn’t fully recognise.
I had lost the weight, but somehow I had also lost part of myself.
Before my spinal surgeries, I used to love the gym. I was the person who enjoyed training and pushing my body. But after two spinal surgeries, my health changed everything.
The gym is no longer an option for me.
I live with chronic pain. Even a 40-minute walk can leave me completely exhausted. I had to accept that the way I once built strength and confidence was no longer available to me.
That was difficult.
I was proud of my weight loss, but I still didn’t feel comfortable in my body. It wasn’t firm. It wasn’t toned. I didn’t feel strong, and I didn’t feel like myself.
That is exactly why I decided to invest in So Sculpt.
Not simply because I wanted another machine in the clinic.
I invested in it because I realised I couldn’t be the only person feeling this way.
I knew there would be other women and men who had lost significant weight, used weight-loss injections, gone through surgery, struggled with chronic pain or simply couldn’t manage the gym anymore.
People who had achieved something incredible, yet still looked in the mirror and didn’t feel confident.
Since 13th May, I have used So Sculpt every week.
My goal was never perfection.
I wanted to rebuild muscle.
I wanted to feel firmer and more toned.
I wanted to feel stronger.
Most importantly, I wanted to feel like myself again.
And today, on my 39th birthday, standing here in a bikini without hiding under a towel or worrying about what anyone else thinks, I realised how far I have truly come.
Do I still have loose skin? Yes.
Is my body perfect? No.
But for the first time, I appreciate everything my body has carried me through.
The weight loss.
The surgeries.
The pain.
The recovery.
The days when I felt frustrated and disconnected from myself.
This journey is not just about changing my body.
It is about rebuilding my confidence after everything my body has survived.
And this is exactly why I brought So Sculpt to EpicLook.
Because I know what it feels like to work so hard, lose the weight and still feel like something is missing.
I know what it feels like when your health limits what you can do.
And I know how emotional it is to finally start recognising yourself again.
To anyone going through the same thing, please know you are not alone.
Your journey does not have to look like anyone else’s.
You are allowed to find a different way.
Today, I’m not celebrating a perfect body.
I’m celebrating strength, resilience and the confidence I thought I had lost.🖤
