We would like to say a huge thank you to Karen Bird’s family for treating us all to a wonderful afternoon tea, beautifully catered by YumYums.
Everyone had a lovely afternoon sharing memories, laughter and stories in remembrance of Karen. It was a truly special tribute and we are so grateful to Karen’s family for their kindness and generosity.
Thank you for helping us celebrate Karen’s life in such a lovely way. 💜

It's the familiar face that brings reassurance, the warm smile that brightens a day, and the compassion that turns a house into a home.
What makes Hartford Care so special is the connection our carers build - not only with our residents, but with one another. Together, they create communities filled with warmth, friendship, dignity and belonging.

Dementia Action Week - Day 5🩵
Living with dementia shouldn’t mean giving up the things that make you who you are.
Across our homes, we encourage residents to continue enjoying familiar hobbies and meaningful activities - whether that’s baking, gardening, painting, playing games, or spending time doing the things they’ve always loved.
Our teams tailor support around each individual, helping residents maintain their independence, choices, and sense of purpose wherever possible. Because person-centred care is about more than support - it’s about preserving dignity, freedom, and identity every single day.
