Allah says in Qur’an (Surah Al-Jumu‘ah 62:9):

“O you who believe, when the call is proclaimed for prayer on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off trade…”

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday…”
(Reported in Sahih Muslim)

He taught that on Friday:
• Adam (AS) was created
• He entered Jannah
• He was sent to earth
• The Day of Judgment will occur

So Friday itself carries divine significance.

Barking Community Forum is pleased to announce that 1st of Ramadan will be on Wednesday 18 February 2026.
1st Taraweeh will take place tonight, Tuesday 17 Feb at 7.30 pm, Insha Allah, at Hedgecock Community Centre

Alhamdulillah, by the mercy of Allah (SWT), the blessed month of Ramadan has once again arrived. We pray that Allah enables us all to reap the immense rewards of this sacred month and grants us the ability to worship Him with sincerity, humility, and devotion.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to all our sponsors for their generous support. May Allah place barakah in their businesses, wealth, and families, and reward them abundantly for their contributions.

We warmly welcome all residents and community members to join us during this blessed month.

BCF Ramadan 1447H / 2026 Taraweeh Announcement 📣

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

Dear Respected Residents of Upney

Alhamdulillah, Barking Community Forum (BCF) is pleased to confirm that Taraweeh prayers will be held this Ramadan at Hedgecock Community Centre, insha’Allah.

📖 Taraweeh: 20 raka‘at with full Qur’an recitation
led by 4 experienced Huffaz

📅 Please see the attached Ramadan timetable/calendar

🕋 Daily Prayers
Fajr and all daily prayers will be held at the Porta Cabin
Fajr & Maghrib Jama’ah: 15 minutes after Adhan

Important Taraweeh Information
• Taraweeh is for Brothers/Men only (as there is no capacity for Sisters at present)
• Please arrive 15 minutes before Esha Jama’ah
• No parking on-site,
Park on Upney Lane or nearby permitted roads only, Vehicles will not be allowed into Stephen Jewers Gardens
• Please respect our neighbours
• Do not congregate outside before, during, or after prayers
• Kindly follow instructions from BCF volunteers

May Allah (SWT) allow us all to fully benefit from the blessings of this sacred month of Ramadan.
