Brook Rural Museum
10/07/2026
Tomorrow you'll have the chance to discover one of our oldest harvest traditions with The Wheat Weaver.
Come and admire a beautiful display of handcrafted traditional corn dollies, each one carrying centuries of folklore, symbolism and stories from our farming past. Find out why these intricate creations were made and the fascinating beliefs that surrounded them.
Even better, you can have a go yourself! Create your own little harvest favour to take home under the guidance of an experienced Wheat Weaver, a lovely activity for children and adults alike.
With our own honey bees settling into their new home at the museum and harvest just around the corner, this feels like the perfect opportunity to celebrate the traditions that connect us to the countryside.
