Behind every B is a story. Here’s ours.
In 2017, Rumpus was forever changed when we were directly affected by the Manchester Arena tragedy. In the years that followed, as we navigated the loss of a close team member, we searched for a deeper purpose that reflected how we felt as a business and as people.
That’s when we discovered the B Corp movement and the belief in business as a force for good. It wasn’t just a framework, it was our ‘why’.
We knew this would be a marathon, not a sprint. In May 2022, we began working with a local B Corp consultant and joined the Better Business Act soon after. Over the following seven months, we strengthened our policies, focused on carbon reduction and worked together across the team to complete our submission.
On Friday 02 June, we officially became a B Corp.
We adopted as one of our core values as our commitment to always do the right thing, even when it is hard, and to honour a bright, charismatic and daring individual who continues to inspire us.
This , we are proud to stand with a global community proving that business can and should be a force for good.
