🌲 Inspiring the Next Generation of Foresters and Arborists 🌲

The APF Show is a fantastic educational resource, giving school children and the wider public a real insight into what happens in a modern working woodland.
Once again, we’re proud to be working with the Royal Forestry Society to offer local schools the unique opportunity to visit the show and take part in a guided tour, showing children everything from seed to sawmill. The RFS also runs its excellent Teaching Trees and Young Forester schemes, alongside the Forester Roots programme, which helps school leavers find jobs in the industry.

We know that school budgets are tight, and finding the money for transport can be a real challenge. That’s why the APF Show is helping to remove this obstacle by offering up to £300 per school towards transport costs. Our goal is to welcome 800 children to the show.

After the guided tour, children will be able to enjoy all the fantastic events on site. They can even have a go at tree climbing with rope and harness and try their hand at some traditional woodland crafts.

We want to show young people that a career in forestry or arboriculture can be fun, exciting, and challenging, while also delivering huge benefits for the environment. 🌍🌳

The APF demo team are working hard to ensure that APF 2026 is a fitting event for our 50th birthday.

Over 300 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors are expected to attend, with over £90 million pounds of working machinery on show on a 2km tracked circuit.
