🌸 Inside Rob's Blooming Wildflower Fields 🌸

Our favourite time of year is here, when the wildflower fields are at their busiest. Rob has had a fantastic season producing strong crops across the board, including some of our rarer and more specialised wildflower varieties. It’s always rewarding to see months of hard work come into bloom.

Many wildflowers are giving up early this year, rushing to throw out a handful of seed before they die back, rather than growing on to full maturity. By the time we reach harvest, far fewer plants have carried their seed to term. Meaning lighter yields across the board. With stock tightening and demand holding firm, prices will naturally lift as we head into the busy season.

Rob’s irrigation system has become a lifeline in these dry spells. Once unheard of for wildflowers, it’s now been needed in four of the last six years, showing a clear sign of the climate shifting. It’ll never match real rainfall, but it’s keeping plants alive long enough to set seed. Systems like this either draw from deep reserves 10–15 metres down or pull from a certified lake source, both tightly regulated to protect the land.
