Congratulations to our patrons, Laura Main and Professor George Youngson CBE, on being awarded honorary degrees by the University of Aberdeen this week 🎓💙

Laura received a Doctor of Letters in recognition of her outstanding career, from her beginnings in Aberdeen's theatre community to becoming a familiar face on our screens as an original cast member of Call the Midwife. Throughout, Laura has remained a passionate supporter of The Archie Foundation, helping to raise awareness of our work and the difference it makes to babies, children and families.

Professor George Youngson was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine in recognition of his exceptional contribution to paediatric surgery and specialist children's healthcare. As one of the founding figures of The Archie Foundation, his vision and leadership have helped shape the charity from its earliest days, creating a lasting impact on the care and support available to children and families across the north of Scotland.

We are delighted to share this fabulous photo of Laura and George in their finery and fancy dress at our 2025 Disco Ball, celebrating two people whose dedication and support continue to make such a difference.

Everyone at The Archie Foundation is incredibly proud to see them receive the recognition they so deserve. Congratulations, Laura and George, on this wonderful achievement! 💙
