The Initial Sort: When mixed loads arrive, our operators use specialized 360-degree material handlers to separate obvious grades of metal and pull apart complex, tangled scrap like rebar and wiring.

Depollution & Compacting: End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) must be stripped of harmful fluids and batteries before they are crushed. Compacting them into blocks means we can transport exponentially more weight per truckload, reducing carbon emissions on the road.

Processing Swarf & Turnings: That massive pile of metallic shavings in the middle slide is called "swarf." It's a byproduct of heavy machining, milling, and drilling—something our local engineering and energy sectors produce a lot of! Because swarf is so fine, it has a high surface area and can oxidize quickly, so it requires careful handling, storage, and processing before it can be safely sent off to the foundries to be melted back down into solid steel.

Magnetic Separation: How do we separate the steel from the aluminum? Physics! We use massive industrial electromagnets attached to our cranes. Ferrous metals (like iron and steel) snap right to the magnet, leaving non-ferrous metals (like copper, brass, and aluminum) behind for separate processing.
