Tonight, we celebrate the legacy of Scotland’s beloved poet, Robert Burns. At First Class Learning, we know that just like Burns’ words have inspired generations, every child has the potential to achieve greatness with the right guidance and support.
✨ It is thought that Burns first wrote the poem “Auld Lang Syne” in 1788 and that it was based on older folk verses but did not appear in print until soon after his death in 1796. It wasn’t until a 1799 publication when the now familiar words and tune were finally brought together.
