Late night. Empty workshop. Just the flute.
For years, we shaped a single block of wood to bridge both chambers. It worked. But we knew we could do better.
So we changed it. Two individual blocks now — each one fitted by hand, each channel independently adjustable. The sound is cleaner. The form is more refined. And honestly, it just feels right.

After many years of building our drone flutes with a single block across both air channels, we have introduced a new dual-block design.
Each air channel now carries its own individually crafted block. This allows for more precise adjustment, improved responsiveness, and greater control over the overall airflow of the instrument.
With this update, the A drone flute now joins our D bass drone flute and F sharp drone flute, which have already received this refinement.
A subtle change in construction — but one that brings the instrument to life in a more balanced and responsive way.
