Beyond their classroom work, first-year students regularly engage with external guest speakers invited by faculty. Recently, they welcomed French art critic and independent curator Anne Bourrasé ().

Following the release of her book Les Refusées, Les artistes femmes n’existent pas (), Bourrasé explored how women artists have been historically undervalued, rejected, copied, objectified, and erased from art history. She also outlined concrete actions to drive change: protest, track representation in exhibitions and museums, and keep reading.
