This philosophy of self knowledge was used by Ancient Greek philosophers such as Socrates and Plato as well as Aeschylus (Ancient Greek author of Greek tragedy) but also appeared at the entrance of the sacred Temple of Apollo at Delphi where pilgrims from all the Mediterranean converge to get insights on the future.

A seemingly obvious and solid principle but an important one that has been humankind’s quest since ancient times : to know the world, you must know yourself first.
