More than one year later I’m back to the Araguaia region in the deep center of Brazil. Surrounded by the contrasting extremes of the native rainforest in one hand and the huge deforested areas for farming and livestock in the other.
Brazil is still striving to understand where the balance should be between preservation and production with reckless new policies coming up under the new government elected. It must be acknowledged that there is no need to end conservationist efforts in order to increase the production in the fields.

Life teaches us a day after another that the worth things in life come by some struggle. I don’t believe in the easy things, or on the easy fixes. Have never seen any good coming out of something like that. The world is full of bad easinesses, but we are the ones at the helm. And if there is an ocean ahead to be crossed… so be it. That’s the only way I know to get to the paradise.
