In my house with no power, candlelight paints the walls, flowers breathe quietly in the corners, birds chirping like a soft reminder that life is already enough. 𓆩♡𓆪
No fridge humming, no parasitic noise, just silence stretching until time forgets to move. Everything feels slower, softer… almost timeless. Like I’ve stepped out of the rush and into something deeper, something sacred. A kind of transcendence you can’t plug in.
In my house with no power, I am the one who carries power.

Two million streams and four Spring equinoxes have passed since Cocagne was released in February 2022.
I like to think that each stream carries a spark of joy — that somewhere, on the other end, it made someone feel a little happier.
“Cocagne”’s music video is composed of original footage shot during a roadtrip across Iran—from Shiraz to Tehran, via Varzaneh, Abyaneh, Yazd, and Isfahan—in March 2019. Each day, we took to the road; each night, we danced. Priceless memories from a land of quiet wonder and deep beauty. This is the soulful, majestic Iran I will carry with me, always.
This is the chiaroscuro era of my Contrepoints album in the making. On the eve of my return to France, I was working from my dorm room at Hi Tehran Youth Hostel, shaping a new demo — naively titled Shiraz, which would later become Cocagne. Then, from below, voices rose — bursts of joy echoing up from Tabatabaei Alley. I stepped out into the night, a cup of tea in hand, and followed the sound down into the street to see what was unfolding.
There was a joyful gathering around the fire — grandparents, teenagers, parents, even toddlers — all swaying to music spilling from the radio of an old Peugeot Pars, transformed into a makeshift sound system for the entire neighborhood. In that nocturnal, close-knit fever, I was initiated into Chaharshanbe Suri, and I made a wish. It was my first Nowruz.
And the wish came true.
This year’s Spring Equinox carries deep emotional weight. I’m thinking of my friends in Iran — those who longed to leave, those who fled, and those who never returned. Keep making wishes. Cocagne is an invitation to hold on to joy, always, and to keep dreaming of the good fortune ahead. Streaming revenue helps me support the creation of new work. I’ll have more to share about this World soon.
A new era is unfolding. ✨
