Μια μεγάλη λαϊκή παράσταση εμπνευσμένη από πραγματικά γεγονότα από το Θέατρο του Ήλιου και την Ariane Mnouchkine.

Πώς είναι δυνατόν, τον 21ο αιώνα, στην καρδιά της Ευρώπης, να επιχειρείται η εισβολή και η καταστροφή μιας ανεξάρτητης χώρας; Το ερώτημα αυτό γίνεται η αφετηρία για μια «επική ενσάρκωση» της Ιστορίας, με το βλέμμα στραμμένο στο 1917: στη γέννηση ενός συστήματος που άλλαξε τον κόσμο.

Η Αriane Mnouchkin με οδηγό μια επιλεγμένη «υποκειμενική», όπως σημειώνει, βιβλιογραφία και ανασυστήνοντας τα γεγονότα όπως διαδέχονται το ένα το άλλο, ζητά να εντοπίσει την ρίζα της σημερινής εισβολής στην Ουκρανία και τους μηχανισμούς του ολοκληρωτισμού που οδήγησαν στο σήμερα.

How is it possible that, in the 21st century, at the heart of Europe, an invasion and the destruction of an independent country can still be attempted? This question becomes the starting point for an “epic embodiment” of History, with the gaze turned toward 1917—the birth of a system that changed the world.

Ariane Mnouchkine, guided by a deliberately “subjective” bibliography, as she notes, and by reconstructing events in their historical sequence, seeks to trace the roots of today’s invasion of Ukraine and the mechanisms of totalitarianism that have led us to the present.
