In 2024, we had the pleasure of interviewing Ella Rumpf ( ) for Crash 102. The french-swiss actress captivates the film world with her striking versatility, moving seamlessly between horror, psychological drama and auteur cinema. From her César-winning performance in Marguerite’s Theorem to her memorable role in Tokyo Vice, she continues to assert herself as one of her generation’s most compelling screen presences.

We look forward to her new film ’Couture‘, coming out February 18. Directed by Alice Winocour ( ) and alongside Angelina Jolie and Louis Garrel, Ella is marking yet another bold step in her evolving career.

We’re deeply saddened by the fire that ravaged the studios and workshops of artists Michel Blazy ( ) and Jean-Luc Blanc ( ) on the night of February 9.
This space has served as a place of creation, work, and transmission for a wide community of artists and musicians for over two decades and more recently as home not only to the two artists but also to Samuel Blazy, the Promesses label, Roman Crouigneau, Laurent, and many others.
Thankfully no one was hurt, but the material damage is immense, with studios, archives, artworks, instruments, and years of work lost in the flames.
A fundraiser has been launched to help clear, secure, and hopefully rebuild this vital creative environment. If you can, please consider supporting and sharing:

LAURIE SIMMONS: BLACK & WHITE

”For CRASH issue no. 107, Armelle Leturcq interviewed the american artist Laurie Simmons ( ). Influenced by the rigid social roles of 1950s and 1960s suburbia, she began deconstructing domestic norms through her iconic dollhouse photographs in 1976. For her solo exhibition in Paris, she presents these foundational works alongside new AI-generated images that revisit the same figures through contemporary strangeness.“
