// Perusing my flashbacks in my phone and I discovered that 4 years ago today Monsieur šŸ’™ proposed to me while we were visiting this beautiful chĆ¢teau, le ChĆ¢teau de Chenonceau. šŸ° He told me he had wanted to do it here because it’s his favorite chĆ¢teau. What a French thing to say! šŸ˜‚ I was clueless about what was about to happen but it all made sense in the end after he rushed me through the inside where are the pretty šŸŽ„šŸŽ„decorations were. šŸ˜† He is usually very patient with my stops to take photos every 20 steps, but not that day. šŸ˜… I never thought such a stunning and historic place would be part of my story but life is full of surprises, isn’t it?

// The house hunt has officially begun… again. ā¤ļøšŸ”

It’s been some time now that I’ve been eager to move outside of Paris. Add newly bulging terrasses and to the big city scene, and I just don’t love it anymore like I used to. I have bruises on my legs from picking up the stroller so often because escalators and elevators are so often ā€œen panneā€ (out of order) or not even present here. It’s all good, though. I’ve always looked forward to the home search process, thanks to my dad. He taught me so much about real estate and I’ve loved learning about house features from a young age. A favorite pastime of mine is to critique houses as I’m driving by and announce what needs to be changed to give them better curb appeal. šŸ˜†šŸ” What’s interesting about French homes is that they are often hidden behind gates and bushes and maybe even a long driveway. When we walked up to this house today I was wholly unimpressed by its nondescript white 2-window faƧade. However the tour started in the back, where the patio has an expansive view onto Paris, the table setting had all the ProvenƧal vibes of A Good Year, and I spotted grapes šŸ‡ dangling from the pergola. As we walked up from the grassy section, I saw that this French house was in fact the epitome of most American francophiles love all covered in fiery red autumn leaves. šŸšŸšŸ So what do you think? Would you move in?
