🎉 Happy New Year 2026! 🎊

As we enter this new year, we want to extend our warmest thanks to our community who supports and engages with Castopod. Your trust and feedback fuel our mission every day.

A message to all podcasters: Keep creating in 2026! And to those considering starting a podcast: give it a try. Podcasting remains one of the last social networks not entirely controlled by a big corporation. In a world dominated by algorithms, we need diversity and authentic voices.

2025 was a milestone year for Castopod:
⬆️ 1,000 active podcasts hosted on our platform
⬆️ Over 43,000 episodes published
⬆️ 800+ GitHub stars
⬆️ 30+ language translations by 70+ volunteer translators
⬆️ 200+ contributors to the project

Thank you to every podcaster who trusts us with hosting their creation. Your confidence means everything to us.

Looking ahead to 2026: We're preparing exciting new features and improvements. Stay tuned for announcements!

🇧🇪 We'll be at FOSDEM in Brussels – come meet the team and discuss the future of open-source podcasting.

Chapters + transcripts = better discoverability, accessibility, and search for the entire podcast ecosystem.

The network effect is beginning. 🚀
