Meet friend of the magazine and Issue 7 cover co-star Arthur Boyd.

Arthur’s turn as cover boy was not planned; he simply showed up the night before the shoot, danced with us like a demon, and, when we all emerged next day hungover and deprived of our planned model, heroically filled in with an élan and gusto almost unimaginable in someone with innards so pickled in last night’s festering potations.

Geri Della Rocca de Candal is the inaugural Hero to His Valet. Geri is a banker, a traveller, and a scholar of Italian renaissance history and art, the owner of equally enviable collections of cords, shoes, umbrellas, pipes, and 15th-century incunabula. He is also simply, a dashed fine chap. He took us through some of his favourite threads and curios at his home in Milan.
