I got diagnosed with PCOS at 21 while living alone in Australia, and even though it was scary, i also remember feeling relieved to finally understand why i had been struggling with certain things for so long. What people don’t always talk about is how much PCOS can occupy your mind on a daily basis. For me, hair growth became a real source of hypervigilance. It wasn’t about perfection or beauty standards, it was more about the mental exhaustion of constantly thinking about it.
