CISAC Asia - Pacific Committee

The CISAC Annual Report 2026 is now available.

Released ahead of CISAC’s centenary General Assembly in Paris, the report highlights a year of intensified global advocacy, policy engagement and progress at a defining moment for creators’ rights and artificial intelligence.

As CISAC President Björn Ulvaeus notes in the report, “The rules governing human creativity are being written now."

Throughout 2025–2026, CISAC engaged in AI and copyright policy discussions across international, regional and national markets, including work at World Intellectual Property Organization and UNESCO, responding to the implementation of the EU AI Act, and legislative consultations in countries including the UK, Australia, India, Chile and South Korea.

The report also outlines continued advocacy relating to private copying remuneration, audiovisual creators’ rights and Artist’s Resale Right frameworks, alongside progress on CIS-Net 2 and the continued strengthening of the ISWC system and its services.
