Simulating the impact of white matter connectivity on processing time scales using brain network models - Communications Biology Brain network models, integrating echo state networks with white matter connectivity, reveal how the structural network and individual major fibre bundles shape the temporal processing hierarchy in the context of an auditory narrative task paradigm.
One of the highest forms of human cognition is narrative. In this recent study we examine how narrative structure interacts with cortical network structure, revealing a gradient of temporal processing. This can have implications for designing new architectures for narrative processing.
