DESEAL

Christoph gebärdet: Schauen wir uns ein Praxisbeispiel an: Bei der Generalversammlung der europäischen Union der Gehörlosen (Abkürzung: EUD) hat ein nationaler Gehörlosenverband einen Antrag gestellt, in dem er EUD gefragt hat, der Gruppe der gehörlosen Senior_innen bei ihren Aktivitäten besondere Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken. Die anderen nationalen Gehörlosenverbände haben diesem Antrag zugestimmt. Seit dem haben die Repräsentant_innen von EUD sichergestellt sich an Veranstaltungen und Möglichkeiten zu beteiligen, bei denen es um die Bedürfnisse von gehörlosen Senior_innen geht. Eins führte zum anderen und jetzt arbeitet EUD am DESEAL Projekt mit.
Christoph signs: Let us take a practical example. At the General Assembly of the , one of the national associations of the Deaf expressed a motion to ask the EUD to pay particular attention to one particular category of deaf people in the activities of the EUD: deaf seniors. The national deaf associations also supported this motion. Since then, EUD representatives have made sure to be involved in events and opportunities to highlight the needs of deaf seniors. One thing led to another and EUD is actually involved in the DESEAL project.
