The UL ZF in collaboration with CEU SAN PABLO Madrid from Spain and Genourob - Medical Device Manufacturer from France is carrying out a research project Intra and inter reliability of knee arthrometer .

The research project is part of the research activities of the programme group P3-0388 and within the research project the Master student of Physiotherapy 2nd degree, Katja Mihalinec, will carry out measurements for the purpose of her Master thesis under the supervision of Dr. Renata Vauhnik and co-mentorship of Dr. Carmen Belen Martinez Cepa.

Pilot measurements with the DYNEELAX device were carried out at the CEU SAN PABLO University of Madrid during the week of 6.2. to 10.2.2023.

DYNEELAX - A 4 in 1 analysis medical device:
🔴 Diagnosis
🔴 Prevention
🔴 Rehabilitation
🔴 Patient follow-up

It is the result of more than 13 years of R&D at Genourob. Nowadays, DYNEELAX is the most advanced and optimised knee arthrometer we have yet created. With a single device, you may perform dynamic knee ROTATION & TRANSLATION assessments.

Accuracy🎯, reproducibility🙌, low test-duration⏱️ & user-friendliness👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ are the best keywords to describe this new patented robotic knee arthrometer.

This week we share another recent and very interesting study from the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 about the effect of menstrual cycle phase on anterior knee laxity.

The GNRB knee laxity arthrometer was used to objectively 📝 analyse knee laxity.

Study: Effect of menstrual cycle phase, menstrual irregularities and hormonal contraceptive use on anterior knee laxity and non-contract anterior cruciate ligament injury occurrence in woman: a protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis.

What is the interest of knee 🦵 stiffness analysis ❓

As Bercovy said in 1️⃣ 9️⃣ 9️⃣ 5️⃣ in his study performed on more than 1502 knees: stiffness is a biomechanical parameter of knee ligaments. It is highly correlated with the clinical symptoms of instability (p = 0,0001). It is more accurate than laxity which is a numerical value without mechanical significance.

That is ultimately why we, at Genourob, created the GNRB knee arthrometer. A highly accurate 🎯 device that delivers precise ACL stiffness assessments.

Today, we pushed the bounderies of ACL stiffness analysis even further, by releasing the Dyneelax knee arthrometer: it is the first arthrometer in the world that allows knee lateral/medial rotation 🔄 assessments in addition to anterior tibial translation ↕ analysis.

The graph 📈 below represents stiffness tests performed on both knees of a patient suffering from an ACL injury: The green curve 🟢represents an anterior tibial translation performed on the healthy knee and the red curve 🔴, an anterior tibial translation on the pathological knee. The curves being wide apart & going in opposite direction is a direct indication of ACL rupture.
