➡️ On June 5 and 6, 2026, in Clermont-Ferrand, CAFAT invites you to participate in a special seminar led by Zefiro Mellacqua, CTA-P, and winner of the 2024 Memorial Eric Berne Award, on the topic:

💟 Why Is Making Love Important? A Perspective on Genitality, Sexuality, and Intimacy in Clinical Psychopathology.

If you practice as a psychotherapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, counselor (counseling therapist), or are currently in training to become one, during this two-day seminar you will be able to:
- Explore the world of sexuality through the lens of Transactional Analysis, with key references to the work of Berne, as well as object relations theory, relational psychoanalysis, clinical psychiatry, neuroscience, and even literature.
- Examine clinical cases drawn from Z. Mellacqua’s direct clinical practice, involving young and adult patients suffering from sexual disorders and various forms of psychological distress.
- Gain further insights into the world of sexuality drawn from sessions with various teams with whom Zefiro has worked as a supervisor over the years, to understand and clinically address the sexual problems of patients treated in inpatient, outpatient, and home-based psychiatric settings.

This seminar will be held in one of the conference rooms at the Alexandre Vialatte Literary Hotel in Clermont-Ferrand and is open to both French and English speakers. It will be conducted in English with simultaneous translation provided by Sébastien Balbastre.

If you are not a CAFAT graduate student, the individual fee is €500. This covers the two-day seminar and includes lunch each day.
