Artficial sweeteners are thousands of times sweeter than regular sugar, which actually leads to more intense cravings and a desire to eat more, studies have shown. What many don't realise is that there's nothing wrong with sugar, as long as it's in moderation. A slice of cake with friends now and then should be savoured, not replaced with "fake" food. Choose natural sweeteners for a hint of flavour, such as 1/2 teaspoon honey in tea, or a drizzle of maple syrup on porridge or use agave nectar in baking. I guarantee you'll enjoy your food more, and be satisified without having to reach for a second (or third) slice....

Yoga may improve lower back pain
Researchers found yoga had some benefit for people with lower back pain compared with people who did no exercise for their back. Yoga includes the integration of physical poses and controlled breathing, sometimes also with meditation. What is important is to keep active as much as possible. It's now recognised that people who remain active are likely to recover from their pain more quickly.

5 tips for healthy eating
The key to a healthy diet is to eat the right amount of calories for how active you are so you balance the energy you consume with the energy you use.
If you eat or drink more than your body needs, you'll put on weight because the energy you do not use is stored as fat. If you eat and drink too little, you'll lose weight. It's recommended that men have around 2,500 calories a day .Women should have around 2,000 calories a day .
1. Base your meals on higher fibre starchy carbohydrates
2. Eat lots of fruit and veg
3. Eat more fish, including a portion of oily fish
4. Get active and be a healthy weight
5. Do not skip breakfast
