Le programme Bourses du 1er livre photo est destiné aux photographes  qui souhaitent proposer un projet de premier livre avec le soutien d’un·e éditeur·rice français·e indépendant·e.
Il propose de soutenir 3 projets de livres portés par un.une photographe et son éditeur·rice à hauteur de 5000€ chacune.

💡 THE EYES LAB IS THE WORKSHOP WHERE IDEAS TAKE SHAPE.

The Eyes Lab is the creative, research, and production lab of The Eyes. Conceived as a space for reflection and experimentation, it supports the development of artistic and editorial projects in various formats.

At the intersection of artistic and curatorial practices, The Eyes Lab supports contemporary production through initiatives such as the Ronan Guillou residency, the First Photo Book Awards, exhibitions, The Eyes Talks podcasts, Artist Talks by The Eyes, and other editorial formats, while fostering a dialogue that is both rigorous and accessible to the public.

🤝 As a space for co-creation with artists, curators, and institutions, its goal is to give shape, visibility, and impact to visual narratives rooted in the social, political, and cultural realities of our time.

The Eyes Lab est le laboratoire de création, de recherche et de production de The Eyes. Pensé comme un espace de réflexion et d’expérimentation, il accompagne le développement de projets artistiques et éditoriaux sous des formats multiples.
Au croisement des pratiques artistiques et curatoriales, The Eyes Lab soutient la production contemporaine à travers des dispositifs tels que la résidence Ronan Guillou, les Bourses du 1er Livre Photo, des expositions, les podcasts The Eyes Talks, les Artist Talks by The Eyes et autres formats éditoriaux tout en cultivant un dialogue exigeant et accessible avec les publics.
Lieu de co-construction avec les artistes, commissaires et institutions, il vise à donner forme, visibilité et impact à des récits visuels ancrés dans les réalités sociales, politiques et culturelles de notre époque.

📚 1st Photo Book project
📸 3 grants of €5,000
📆 Until May 18, 2025

 1st Photo Book Grants program is aimed at photographers who wish to propose a 1st book project with the support of an independent French publisher.

3 grants worth €5,000 will be awarded to the winners and their publisher in July 2025! 

The program is open to photographers who have never published a monograph with a publisher. To be eligible, the photographer must provide a letter of commitment from a publisher.
