Today I was reminded of this verse when someone handed me these bills to pay for a tray of Shepherd's pie -
Deutoronomy 8 : 18 "you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day"
I hope it encourages someone that you can't sit pretty and expect things to suddenly fall on your lap. We have talents, potentials, gifts etc that when used right can help to support us or create wealth. Laziness doesn't feed people. With how the economy is turning and how this world events are, one needs to relook at finances : budget, plan, get a job, start a home business, plant food at home or small garden, prep own meals etc.
Gone are the days when we rely on people overseas to send money or those that have good jobs to support us. Everyone can earn their living but one must get off the seat of "comfort". It is scary at first but done right is such a rewarding exercise. This foreign currency was given to me at the Flea market to purchase something that took us about 2hrs to prep.
What is in your hand? God has given us the power to create wealth. Use the gifts and talents. Don't die full ... die empty. And for those who want to argue with me about focusing on savings souls - guess what it costs money too so having it allows us to work diligently and not beg or force others to support the work. It's the love of money that's sinning. Having money is not a sin. Allowing it to be master is. Now don't come ask for this 2 notes ... come to Fleamarket next week and sell π€£π€£π
