Meidän koronavuosi meni pitkälti tämän sarjan parissa.

Lopputulos on nyt vihdoin nähtävissa Yle Areenassa ja maanantaisin kello 20 Yle Femmalla, joten menkääpä katsomaan!

Kuten kaikissa hommissa, yhteistyöllä saavuttaa parempia tuloksia kuin yksin puurtamalla, joten kiitos kaikille, jotka osallistuivat tämän sarjan tekoon. Ilman teitä tästä ei olisi tullut mitään.

When growing up in the Finnish archipelago, on the island of Emsalö, we could always enjoy summer by swimming all day long in relatively clean waters.🏊‍♀️ Blue-green algae was a yearly issue, but it only lasted a few weeks. Nowadays the blue-green algae in an issue that lasts nearly all summer, and it isn't getting any better.

For those who don't know, blue-green algae is toxic☣ for people and animals. It thrives in nutritious waters and warm temperature and the way to control the growth of blue-green algae is to reduce the amount of nutrients going in to the ocean. Read more at:

During the last weekend of summer, at the Red Carpet Film Festival, Poolboy's Pop-Up Store was able to sell items for 2840 €. 💶💶 It means that 20 % (568 € + 7 € donated by a good hearted man) will be donated to John Nurmisen Säätiö. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With 575 € John Nurmisen Säätiö can clean up 2875 kg of blue-green algae from the Baltic Sea. That's pretty good for one weekend. Maybe we should do this full-time? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
