On the 19th of March, we celebrate the day of Minna Canth, who was a playwright, author, and pioneering social activist for equality. Even though leaps in gender equality have been made here in Finland, the work is still not finished. This applies also to our field of IT.

Companies play a huge role in creating an equal setting for all. It takes conscious choices and concrete actions to make change happen. For us, creating a safe working community where everyone can be themselves and have a voice has been a guiding principle. While we’ve been a forerunner of promoting gender balance in our industry, the work continues – with an intersectional and more inclusive perspective.

We gathered some of our previous and upcoming key initiatives to this post in the hopes that it will spark inspiration and new ideas for other companies.
