Yesterday evening, we had the pleasure of hosting Member of Parliament Pia Kauma at WeCode ry.
During the meeting, we shared our mission and ongoing work to support immigrant professionals in Finland’s IT sector.
We also discussed our digital literacy courses, which provide practical skills for newcomers, and our strong focus on women’s equality. This includes supporting women who want to re-enter the workforce, especially stay-at-home mothers who are building new digital skills and seeking new opportunities in the business world.
We are grateful for MP Kauma’s time, valuable insights, and interest in the work we are doing.
Her visit encouraged us to continue creating accessible pathways into tech, strengthening diversity, and empowering individuals through education and community support.
Together, we look forward to building a more inclusive and equal future. 💙🤝

🚀 WeCode at Junction 2025!
Last week, we had the amazing opportunity to participate in Junction, one of Europe’s largest and most exciting hackathons. For 3 days, developers, designers, and tech enthusiasts from around the world came together to build innovative solutions under intense, creative, and inspiring conditions.
As WeCode, we proudly joined this year’s event. It was a great chance for us to connect with the international tech community, collaborate with talented people, and showcase our growing presence in Finland’s tech ecosystem.
Being part of Junction not only strengthened our team spirit but also helped us introduce WeCode to a wider audience.
We look forward to joining more events, building new partnerships, and supporting our community on their tech journey.
