For this holiday season we wanted to do something a little special! We created the gift card that we always wanted to see - a gift that’s already in your hands: a card and a tea. With every gift card purchase, we include an aged 2018 Bingdao Puer Tea Cake inside, so your loved one can start enjoying tea right away. The card can be used on all tea, tea wares and private tastings (but not on events tickets).

We’re also releasing our first actual Mixtape “Music To Tea-lax To” which includes an unreleased track by our very own Patrick aka Point Clouds, recorded live in Kakegawa during our tea multi-sensory experience at the Kakegawa Chaennale.

We’re super excited to have as a guest practitioner hosting a series of tea tasting workshops chronicling his experiences in Taiwanese and Thailand speciality tea production.

We were introduced through multiple tea friends given our Nordic proximity, but once we chatted we could see we walked similar paths in our tea journey. Gawin is a Swedish-Thai tea practitioner who first fell in love with tea when living in Taiwan (sounding familiar?), where he studied the art of tea production under his teacher Chin-Shin. With this knowledge and experience under his belt, he returned to his home in Thailand to explore the wild forests of Northern Thailand - home to ancient trees not so far away from the famous Yunnan puer trees.

Gawin will be hosting two tasting workshops, the first “The Heart of Tea” [21.11 17:30-19:30] will be part story, part tasting, part education while imbibing four Taiwanese teas he co- produced with his teacher. This is a chance to go deep, sharing the tea table with the person who’s hands made the very tea you’re drinking

In the second tasting “Wild Side of Thai” [22.11 17-19] you will taste fully hand processed teas rarely seen in the west, from wild ancient trees forests in Vieng Pa Pao. Thai tea specialty tea is growing and this is your opportunity to experience where it’s going with very special tea and an amazing local guide in Gawin.

For each of these tastings Gawin will be brewing the teas in his preferred form of Gaiwan so that you can taste the tea in its purest form. As such each event will be very limited seating. To learn more about each experience check out our linktree or events page on our website.

Earlier this year, during our 3-year anniversary special event, we began The Rhythm of Qi series with the seasons of Spring and Summer — exploring movement, renewal, and expansion through tea and Chinese medicinal incense.
It was an invitation to feel how Qi — the vital energy that connects all things — rises and flows within us and around us.
Now, as autumn deepens and winter approaches, we return with the next chapter of this journey — stepping into the seasons of Metal and Water, focusing on the lungs and kidneys.
While spring and summer taught us to expand and reach outward, this season calls us to turn inward — to gather, to replenish, and to recharge within.
This 2h journey continues our practice of aligning with the wisdom of the Five Elements, honoring the transition from Metal (Autumn) to Water (Winter) — from clarity to depth, from release to stillness.
This time, we’ve created a more complete experience — 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚, 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞, 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐤 in one shared rhythm.
After a brief introduction to the elements of the current season, the evening begins with breathwork and a Zen-inspired meditation led by , guiding awareness toward the steady pulse of the inner body.
As the incense unfolds, tea is poured—each infusion becoming a dialogue between aroma and taste, between movement and stillness. We will close with a gentle, warming seasonal snack that mirrors the calm generosity of the season.

❄️ 2020 Tibetan Dark Tea by MAster Bai — silky, grounding, potent yet harmonious
Paired with 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧, medicinal incenses handmade by Master Qingbai, each carrying the essence of breath and restoration.

Through these companions of scent and taste, we follow the movement of Qi — how it gathers inward, flows gently beneath the surface, and recharge in stillness.

We’re nearing the end of Nari Japan Fest, but it’s not too late to catch the main throughline for this years Fest, the Exhibition ⌜ꜱʜᴀᴘɪɴɢ ᴛʀᴀᴅɪᴛɪᴏɴ: 423 ʏᴇᴀʀꜱ ᴏꜰ ᴀꜱᴀʜɪʏᴀᴋɪ⌟ Today is the last day to catch the Exhibition, which not only includes pieces by the 16th Hosai of Asahiyaki and historical pieces from 200 years ago, but also many teawares and tablewares that can be taken home at a special exhibition price for this weekend only.

On Thursday we had an Exhibition Opening and Book Launch party for “𝘼𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨: 𝘼𝙨𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙮𝙖𝙠𝙞 423 𝙀𝙭𝙝𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣” which is a retrospective chronicling the over 400 years and 16 generations of works by Asahiyaki. There are only 500 copies made, each with traditional Japanese book binding techniques, and we have a few copies left available for purchase.

Asahiyaki is one of the most storied names in Japanese ceramics, making the best handmade teawares for 16 generations in Uji, Kyoto. Asahiyaki started over 400 years ago during the Edo period, and from it’s inception already received accolades. Tea Master Kobori Enshu (1579-1647) gave Asahi wares the prestigious honor of one his seven favorite kilns, and they haven’t stopped ever since. Asahiyaki is also one of the few kilns that survived the Meiji restoration, where many kilns shut their doors due to cultural shift away from traditional wares. To this day they continue to produce handmade wonders using both traditional and modern designs that stand the test of time.
