Tapiolasalissa nähtiin Bianca Rantalan ensiesiintyminen UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestran kapellimestarina, Louhisalia tahditti Jukkis Uotila Band upeineen vieraineen! 💫✨

Korjaamossa esiintyi yksi aikamme huikeimmista pianisteissa ja säveltäjistä Tigran Hamasyan bändeineen. He veivät yleisön uskomattoman monipuoliselle musiikilliselle matkalle 🤯🤩

F-Musiikki Stagella kuultiin Pop&Jazz Konservatorion Pessi Lehtinen Quartet sekä Aikara. Kiitos taas kerran aulabändeille 💛

April Jazzin tämän vuoden loppu häämöttää, ja tänään tämä huikea juhlavuosi tulee päätökseensä. Otetaan siis kaikki irti, pistetään tanssikengät jalkaan ja nautitaan jazzin ja musiikin juhlasta! 🎊😍💛

The Finnish Jazz Showcase is officially on! Thank you to everyone who joined us for Tuesday's kickoff.

Our next pitstop is at the grand hotel of Hanaholmen. Restaurant PLATS will cradle into itself the next set of jazz brilliance.

SEPPO KANTONEN TRIO – 10:00
The trio’s music embodies a refined, gentle modernism, performed mostly acoustically, where influences from contemporary concert music are filtered into an intimate jazz expression.

IRO HAARLA OURANOS ENSEMBLE – 11:30
Weaving a vastly colorful world of sound around Haarla’s melodies and welcoming us to new sonic territory, the musical expression of the ensemble is strong and profound.

AKI RISSANEN SOLO – 15:30
Aki Rissanen is one of the leading figures of Finnish jazz and a recognized voice in the European jazz scene. In his new solo program, Rissanen draws inspiration from the true rock star of the Renaissance, Leonardo da Vinci.

D.O.P.A. – 16:30
Shades of jazz, rock, prog, and even electropop – all these influences blend naturally into D.O.P.A.’s richly nuanced sound.

Also taking place is a PANEL DISCUSSION hosted by Music Finland.
"The Future of Jazz Export and International Collaboration" – 12:15 (Tetra hall)

Panelists include international professionals such as Frank van Berkel (BIMHUIS), Øyvind Larsen (Nasjonal jazzscene) and Sunna Gunnlaugsdottir (Sólfinna). The discussion will be moderated by Annamaija Saarela, CEO of G Livelab Tampere.

Hanaholmen is a cooperation and cultural centre for Sweden and Finland, as well as a hotel with a high-quality restaurant, located six kilometres from Helsinki, with the beautiful Finnish archipelago right outside the window.
