𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮’𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 (𝗖𝗪𝟮) 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲: ❝𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.❞

Organized by the UNFCCC and hosted by the Government of Ethiopia, it brought together global policymakers, financiers, international organizations, CSOs, the private sector, and community voices, all engaging in critical dialogues for ambition and implementation, turning ambitions into real action.

Today, for the CW2, the session explores the possible way of enhancing ambitions within the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) through an innovative way of undergoing dialogues named "NDC Clinics". The dialogues on the Just Transitions has drawn a number of participants and hot discussions in finding ways to narrow down differences among parties to the Paris Agreement in defining the best use of opportunities thereon, engaging in Just Transitions across national and global contexts. Dialogues on climate finance is another issued discussed by delegates focusing on the possible ways of addressing the finance gaps existing to implement the NDCs and NAPs.

CW2 is setting the stage for the Second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2), building momentum and highlighting African contexts, opportunities, and solutions that will drive ambitious commitments for global climate action.

Together, these back-to-back events represent a turning point: African leadership shaping climate solutions that inspire action from Addis to COP30 and beyond.

They are restoring ecosystems, boosting food security, and building clean energy solutions that serve their communities.

At the Second Africa Climate Summit, their leadership will take the global stage showing the world that Africa’s youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but the changemakers of today. Together, we can secure the partnerships, technology, and financing needed to scale these solutions across the continent.
