📣 Partnership Alert
Generating evidence on what works at the intersection of forests, climate-smart agriculture, and rural livelihoods
ImpactAcross Development Research and Consultancy is pleased to announce a partnership with Digital Green Foundation – Ethiopia to conduct the final evaluation of the ACAL Project.
This evaluation will examine how integrated approaches that link forest conservation with sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices contribute to improved livelihoods, resilience, and community well-being. The assignment places strong emphasis on community-based forest governance, women’s and youth economic empowerment, and locally led solutions that address the root causes of deforestation while enhancing agricultural productivity.
Through this collaboration, ImpactAcross will generate robust evidence and practical learning to inform future programming, policy dialogue, and the scaling of effective, nature-positive, and inclusive development approaches.

We just held the kick-off meeting for the Endline Evaluation of the Sustainable Church Forest Management Regional Program implemented by EOTC DICAC.
Generously funded by Bread for the World, the program has supported 15 church forests across four regional states: Amhara, Oromia, Tigray, and South Ethiopia. The evaluation, guided by the OECD-DAC criteria of evaluation, will help assess the program’s impact on forest conservation, land rehabilitation, livelihood enhancement, community engagement, and long-term sustainability.

Today, we delivered an engaging training session on Sustainability, Fundraising, and Resource Mobilization, bringing together partners implementing the AWESOME Project in Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda.
The session focused on practical strategies for:
• Understanding evolving donor trends
• Building resilient funding portfolios
• Strengthening partnerships and networks
• Enhancing institutional capacity for long-term impact
Facilitated by Dr. Kassahun Kelifa, the session encouraged participants to think strategically about aligning mission-driven goals with sustainable resource mobilization approaches.
We’re proud to stand alongside our partners in building stronger and more stable institutions capable of delivering lasting impact.
