Most of our hand spun cotton is purchased through a network of women spinners... but the extra thick cotton has to be spun in house to ensure it is done just right. If you have seen one of our towels that seems to have 2 different shades of white cotton, or a dyed towel that has blocks of slightly different shades of color, you can start to understand how the ‘touch’ of each woman has an impact on the final product.
The difference in thickness or in twist may seem very slight when we purchase the yarn from women, but after dyeing and weaving, the differences are always more visible.
