A vibrant close to AFCC 2026!
The final day started with powerful discussions on critical continental priorities—UNFPA’s call to advance menstrual health and dignity for women and girls, and ECA’s presentation on the AfCFTA as a pathway to Africa’s economic integration, trade, and transformation.
Across these conversations, a strong thread emerged: the central role of youth in addressing both the challenges and opportunities highlighted—whether in breaking stigma, driving social change, shaping policy conversations, or actively engaging in Africa’s economic future through innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
The day continued with an inspiring presentation from renowned art collector Alitash Kebede, whose journey reflected the power of passion, perseverance, and purpose in building lasting impact.
The afternoon showcased creativity and action as five workshop (music, drama, creative art, photography and theatre) groups presented their projects, and a fashion showcase from an emerging Ethiopian designer illustrating fashion as a reflection of culture, history, identity, and society. The closing performance by the Fendika Cultural Center brought the day to life with vibrant music and dance from across Ethiopia.
AFCC 2026 closed with powerful energy and reflection—reminding us that Africa’s future will be shaped by how we empower youth to respond to today’s challenges and turn opportunities into impact. A truly meaningful and inspiring conclusion.

✨Powerful conversations, fresh insights and a journey through African history defined another enriching chapter of the AfriCreative Future Forum (ACFF) 2026 in Addis Ababa.
The day featured an engaging discussion on the EU–AU-led programme to strengthen African and European museum partnerships, highlighting the importance of collaboration in preserving heritage, promoting intercultural exchange and building stronger cultural institutions across continents. Participants also took part in a presentation on the evolving culture and creative industries sector, with valuable insights into how UNESCO supports innovative projects and ideas in this space.
A major highlight of the day was the visit to the historic African Hall, where participants were guided through the significance of the building and its central place in African history. The tour explored its connection to the formation of the African Union, the liberation movements across the continent, and other defining historical moments that shaped Africa’s collective journey.
Through these experiences, ACFF 2026 continues to create a meaningful space for young people to connect culture, history, creativity and innovation.
