We’re happy to announce that Dawit Yifru—Ethiopian artist, composer, and longtime Muzikawi collaborator—will perform a showcase concert at in Tampere, Finland, on October 25, with additional concerts in Sweden at in Uppsala on October 27 and at .se in Gothenburg on October 28.

Listen back to the two-part special celebrating Ibex Band — one of Ethiopia’s most influential yet unsung groups, who helped lay the foundations for modern Ethiopian music — featuring a 60-minute deep-dive and intimate interview with core members Giovanni Rico & Selam Seyoum Woldemariam, followed by a two-hour journey through the Roha Band years and their groundbreaking catalogue from the mid-1970s onwards.
