(7/13)🇬🇧Today I start to show you my Medieval Project. One of the biggest we ever made. From 2022, It took us up to 6 months to complete.
————.Mycoloth—-The Lorekeeper Project.——————
Just to clarify: This was a project with 12 animations.
12 Loops.
We did 8 Loops in Stop Motion and 4 of them with 2D Animation.
This animation you are watching is one of those 8 animations, This one is “Mycoloth”.
The song for that one talks about a character infected by a mushroom. A fantasy monster that we wanted to express with a morphing.
(I mostly improvised this animation on set with a bunch of clay and the animatic and final monster made by )
I like the results but I have to admit I realized the animation happens too fast. Sometimes I wish to be able to re-make this one with a slower rhythm and longer morphing.
I believe it deserves more work.
This first animation was made at my parent’s home, my very first studio.
During that year, we had moved to 3 different Studios.
The first 2 animations were made at my parent’s home, The 6 in-between (+A Pull&Bear Project and the “I am a Ball Winter”) were made in a Rented Garage and the last 2 animations (Lich Bane & Bog Creature) were recorded on “Cala Crancs” (My Uncle’s house)
It was crazy to move the studio so many times in 2022, but I have to admit It was a very exciting year. Every time we moved, our studio was bigger and the feeling of growth too.
Sometimes I miss that feeling. That Caos, Happiness and Desperation you feel when growing.
